Sharon Morey

Sharon Lynn Morey, born on December 29th, 1969, in Kansas, passed away on September 1st, 2023. She was the daughter of Reginald and Julia Morey. On June 22nd, 2002, she joined hands in marriage with John Edward Corr in Maryland. One of the most endearing qualities that endeared Sharon to all who knew her was her infectious snorting laugh, which could light up any room. Her striking green eyes and her unique sense of humor, which beautifully complemented John’s own quirkiness, were just some of the many things that made her special. Sharon was a kind and selfless soul, always ready to give, even if it meant sacrificing her own needs. Sharon was known for her vibrant and active lifestyle. She had a love for knitting and crochet, finding peace and creativity in every stitch. Her passion for reading, gardening, hiking, and walking the dogs brought her immense joy. But above all else, she treasured the time spent with John and their beloved son, Grady. One of their favorite pastimes was lounging on the couch, John tickling her legs while she immersed herself in a good book. Sharon’s educational journey took her to Maryland University and later Rutgers University, where she pursued her dream of becoming a registered nurse. Her nurturing spirit and homemaking skills made her a cornerstone of her family. Sharon was a remarkable blend of compassion, caution, and quirkiness. Her quick wit, intelligence, and well-read nature made her the heart and soul of any gathering. She had a natural ability to make people laugh and feel comfortable in her presence. Sharon’s kindness knew no bounds. She was always the first to extend a helping hand whenever it was needed, a true testament to her beautiful character. She embraced life wholeheartedly and loved staying active, embodying beauty both inside and out. Her infectious smile and warm heart touched the lives of everyone she met. Sharon leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her adoring husband, John Corr, and their cherished son, Grady Corr. She is also mourned by her mother, Julia Gilbreath; cousins, April Washburn, and Kelsey Dewispelaere; brothers, Joe, and Shane Morey; stepmother, Bernadette Twitchell; numerous nieces and nephews; and her many beloved fur babies. Sharon will forever be remembered as a radiant, loving, and beautiful soul who brought happiness and warmth to the lives of those she encountered. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
