Carrie Janell Littlefield

Carrie J. James – Littlefield. Born and raised in Bellingham, Washington. Carrie enjoyed spending time with her boyfriend Daniel Jeffries whom she was together with for several happy years up to the date of her passing and with their daughter Destiny. She enjoyed beading and tinkering with electronics and later learned how to build robots in college. She enjoyed a good ol fashioned bon-fire and visiting with friends. She loved her work as a cashier and thrived on seeing all of her customers every day. I think people didn’t really need anything sometimes when they went to the store but for just to visit with her. Carrie attended Meridian High School in Bellingham, Washington and then went on to attend the Northwest Indian College. She studied to be a certified nurse assistant. She worked hard with her boyfriend in the early days fishing. Most recently she worked for the Starvin Sam’s gas station on Slater Road on the Lummi Reservation. She worked there for a number of years and was enjoyed by all who crossed paths with her. Carrie was driven, smart, loyal, compassionate and loving. She was funny, witty and, she was wise beyond her years. She was hilarious to be around and she was also a little mischievous. Carrie loved, she cared, she shared, and always tried to keep a positive light on dark days – especially for others. Carrie often put other people ahead of herself. She sacrificed whenever she could to help her fellow human or animal. She was an intensely bright star in this life and she is even brighter now. Carrie’s laugh was both infectious and, contagious. When she laughed her whole being laughed, full bellied and loud. If she was excited about something or being mischievous her nose would crinkle all up like that and her eyes would get all starry like. When Carrie stood up for something she thought was right, she made sure everybody knew it. And even if she didn’t like someone, which wasn’t often, she was funny at letting them know how she felt and didn’t mix words. She could walk away from somebody after telling them off and they wouldn’t even know what happened because they would be laughing still. Her laughter and her light are missed deeply. Carrie is survived by her mate Daniel Jeffries; daughter Destiny Jeffries; father Craig Littlefield; brothers Anthony (Tony) James, Shawn and Bodie Littlefield; sister Sarah (James) Brownrigg; great-great aunt Erlene Lindquist; uncle Roger Payne; nephew Bud Swirczek and numerous cousins, friends and adopted family. Carrie is reunited with her daughter Tanisha RoseLee Noland; mother Tracy J. James; grandfather’s Richard “Bud” Payne and Elber “Burt” Littlefield; grandmother’s Elvira Lindquist and Jean Littlefield; uncles Jimmy Littlefield and Meryl Payne.
