   Our cats met before we did.. Kelly had just moved into the ground floor apartment next to mine when she first moved into Riverhouse Apts.in Lynden, WA. It was evening and already dark. My cat, Merci’, was at her usual screened, open window, contemplating the outside world, when crash, hissing and cat yowls erupted. A handsome, somewhat bewildered gray cat (Kelly’s Rodney) stood below the window, now with a hole in the screen. Merci’ had attacked the “intruder”, who had simply intended to introduce himself. Kelly had heard the “event”. introduced herself and before I realized what she was doing, had replaced the window screen with her good one! One memory of many memories of Kelly’s endless thoughtfulness and caring.
   Merci’ and Rodney never became buddies, but Kelly and Bambi (Kelly’s cherished Shih Tzu) became two of my greatest treasures in life, and Rodney,while he remained at Riverhouse, was a good “friend” of mine.

   Baseball and Pizza! Didn’t make it to Safeco Field together, but seldom missed watching the games on TV in Kelly’s apt. with, of course, Pizza! We did get to enjoy a couple of the B’ham Bells’ games. Shared enjoyment of receiving several autographed pics and paraphernalia from the Mariners.

   So thankful for our “together” times, phone calls and in person. Kelly, without her realizing it, inspired me to become a better person. Kindness, thoughtfulness, compassion, love, laughter. I miss her very much and cherish the time she was in my life. May your love and memories and what you shared comfort you. My love, and caring. Patty Robbins
