Obituary
It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Erin’s dad and our brother Bill.
William C Donnelly, Jr. was born in Olean, NY in 1947 to William C and Kathryn McCready Donnelly. In 1954, the family moved cross country to settle in Bellingham when our dad transferred to work for the Mobil Refinery in Ferndale.
Bill attended Assumption School and graduated from Bellingham High School. He served his country honorably and with valor from 1967-1969 as a Sergeant in the US Army 101st Airborne Division, including a tour in the jungles of Vietnam. Following his military service, Bill worked in refinery maintenance until his retirement from Matrix Services in 2015. He made many friends and influenced many lives in his 40+ years at Cherry Point Refinery. Bill lived in Ferndale where he found peace and friendship. He was a great dad, a fun brother and will be sorely missed but not forgotten.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, older brother Dan and younger sister Nancy. He is survived by his daughter Erin, his sisters Kathleen, Mary K, his brothers Mike, John, Tim and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be announced at a later date.

To my friend Bill. There are so many memories from high school on. I spend a lot of time at your house and then we would go down town to watch a movie or to just mess around. After you got back from Vietnam we picked up where we left off. Then we each got married and we saw less of each other, but you were never out of my thoughts. May you be resting in peace. You will always be in my thoughts.
