Obituary

Bill Allen went home to be with his Lord and Savior on February 24, 2015, almost to the day of his birth 68 years earlier on February 20, 1947. He was the oldest of eight children born to Margaret and Sidney Allen in Bellingham, WA.
A proud American citizen, he served his country in the Navy with a tour of duty in Viet Nam on the USS Askari. He graduated from Bellingham High School and after the service, attended Skagit Valley Junior College for several quarters.
Bill is survived by his three sons, Brandon (Jaemi), Bryce, and Brodie; three grandchildren, Gavin, Finley Jane, and Corban; five sisters and two brothers, Susan (Art), Linda (Ted), Candy (Ron), Debbie (Gene), Jon (Patti), Sandy (Roger), and David; and many nieces and nephews.
Thanks to his dad, Bill knew the correct way to paint a house inside and out, and he was good at fixing up old houses despite their lack of square corners. He will long be remembered as the guy who loved animals, babies, mega cups of black coffee, and shootin’ the breeze with friends. He will be missed by both family and friends.
Memorial services for Bill will be held Tuesday, March 3, at 1:00 PM, at Redeemer Church, 211 North Shore Drive, Bellingham.

  1. To Bill’s family I extend my sympathy and understanding during this time of separation. Bill and I went through school together and had paths that crossed occasionally over his life. I thank David for keeping me up to date the last couple of years. I am sorry I was unable to attend the final service for Bill but have been remembering his life over the past week several times. May the comfort and peace of The Trinity of God be sufficient for all of you as you learn this new journey apart from Bill.

  2. Marcella says:

May the God of all comfort strengthen the entire family during this time of sorrow. Those who die God keeps in his memory because they are precious in his eyes. (Psalms 116:15) My sincerest sympathy. For further information please visit www.jw.org and select Bible Teachings and Bible Questions Answered.
