Obituary

William “Bill” Gerard Tessier, age 54, died on Tuesday, Dec 26, 2017 at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham. Bill learned carpentry at an early age, and was always good with his hands and creative with fixing things. Bill lived a troubled life, and was estranged from his family for most of it, but will be remembered as a kind and loving person who didn’t always find the right direction in life. He leaves behind his two sisters and brother, Theresa Bernhardsen, Susan Tessier, and Tom Tessier, as well as his niece and nephew, Amy Dick and Kyle Bernhardsen. We were not always able to help him, but we always loved him. May he rest in peace.

  1. When I think of Bill, I think of a smiling little boy with the kind of a swirl in his straight closely cut hair. He was such a cute little guy. Saw him a few times as an adult. One of those times was at a family gathering where he seemed to be enjoying seeing all the familiar relatives again and also meeting some he hadn’t known before. Good bye Bill. I always thought I would see you again. To Theresa, Susan and Tom much love and affection.

  2. We are sorry to hear about Bill’s death. We didn’t know you guys when you were growing up. We certainly didn’t know he did carpentry. I think that was his Great-grandpa Helfrich’s career.
Our hope is that he can find hope, comfort and love in his new place.

  3. A beautiful honest tribute by Bill’s family members. It’s sad when addiction makes relationships so difficult. Caring and love are then left unexpressed. Good bye to you, Bill, my nephew whom I hardly knew. Good bye and peace as you leave this world.
