  1. Ann, I am sorry to hear of Wayne’s passing. He was our family doctor for many years. It never mattered to him if you spent five minutes or five hours at an appointment- he was all about you. I’ve ever met a more gentle and caring man. I kicked him in the back once when he was giving me a cortisone injection in my neck!. He just kinda laughed and told me to be a little stiller!. A great man who didn’t expect acknowledgement for doing what just comes naturally. With my greatest sympathy for your loss. Stephanie(Kuljis) Everidge

  2. Kim says:

I’m proud to be a Dr. Austin baby. He was such a wonderful and compassionate doctor and human being. He called me “Kimchee”. I’ll never forget him. Thank you Dr. A for always being there.

  3. Ed DeVaney says:

Dr. Austin delivered me in 1982 and was my family doctor right up to his retirement party. He was offering everyone a parting gift of flu shots. :) I’ve never met a doctor with better bedside manner, and feel so blessed to have known him for so long. I was a small business owner lacking health insurance, who he was always willing to trade services and help out whenever he could. We shared a love of music and trumpet playing, and he always wanted to talk shop. He served three generations of my family and was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. I have an endless supply of wonderful memories and I have certainly lost a precious member of my family. It was an honor to have him attend my wedding, and I will never forget him.

  4. My heart is breaking and rejoicing for our loss of Wayne. He and Jon are now together. Not only was he a much loved cousin but undoubtedly the epitome of what a doctor should be. Always going above and beyond for his patients, with compassion, knowledge and a funny story. He will be missed!!

  5. I have known Wayne most of my life. Wayne, Lloyd and myself started water skiing together around 1946 with Lloyds boat the Yardbird. We latter snow skied together. Wayne, Lloyd and myself all living on the same street. I remember spending time with Walter and Lulu there parents. Wayne, Lloyd both being in our old Lake Whatcom Motor Boat Club. Wayne will be missed as a club member and as a good friend. What a great Guy.
