Mr. Greenough was my 6th grade teacher at Everson-Nooksack Elementary School back in 1966. He introduced us to oil-paint-by-number and encouraged reading books of all kinds. When he mentioned that he was in a play, a couple of moms took a group of us girls to see it. I think it was “The Princess and the Pea.” Good memories. My love of writing stems from the assignment he gave for us to write creative fiction. He assembled those stories and poems into an anthology. We all got copies. I wish I still had mine. If you were to ask if I had a favorite teacher, I guess I’d answer that it was Mr. G. A few years ago we connected on Facebook and it was fun to find out that he was still writing! Please accept my sympathy in your loss.
