Obituary

Wanda was born in Oberon North Dakota to Harry and Hazel Hanner.  She was the oldest of 5 children (siblings Larry, Delores, Janice and Bob).  The family moved to Washington and Wanda graduated from Oso High School, where she also met her husband Clarke.  They were married in 1948 and enjoyed 64 years together before Clarke passed in 2012.  Family and friends have precious memories of the fun loving banter between the two.

Wanda was a beloved mother of Russ, Rick, Teresa and Tami.  The children were raised in Arlington, Issaquah and Bellingham.  She was Grandmother to Ryan, Danielle, Jason, Brandy, Sarah, BJ, Travis, Taylor and Tanner.  There were 9 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She stayed busy making home a comfortable place with wonderful meals and baked goods.  She was happy to share her sewing and craft projects with others and the grandchildren were recipients of many treasures from her giving heart.  Wanda’s hard working nature also showed in a number of jobs where she developed special friendships.

Wanda is survived by her sons Russ (Linda) Knights and Rick Knights, daughters Teresa (Bill) Hickok and Tami (Tim) Flotre.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarke, sisters Delores and Janice, brother Larry and daughter-in-law Sheryl Knights.

A celebration of life will be at Greenacres Memorial Park, Saturday May 13^th noon to 2:00.  5700 Northwest Drive, Ferndale WA.
