Wally was born in Bellingham on November 25, 1938 to Vert and Elizabeth Eason. He grew up around Lake Whatcom, one of six kids in his family. Wally was a loving family man who always enjoyed holiday gatherings with all the family around, and was very proud of all of his grandchildren’s achievements. His other great love was the outdoors. He loved pheasant hunting and camping up at Baker Lake.
