In Loving Memory of Verna Marie Peters

Verna Marie Peters, of Bellingham, WA, passed away on December 23, 2023. She was surrounded by the love of her family and friends.

Verna, born on June 13, 1970, was the cherished wife of Brian Christopher Peters. Her favorite moments were the times spent with her family, making her grandkids laugh and the joy that it brought her. She enjoyed cruising around the Horn down Lummi Shore along the beach. She was an adept pool player and had a passion for baking and cooking; she found excitement at the casino. But her most treasured activity was spending quality time with her family, specifically her grandchildren. A graduate from NWI, she will be remembered not only as a proud mother to her children but also as a proud and adoring grandmother.

Verna is survived by her husband Brian Peters; daughters Evelyn Point, Dalenna Williams, Elissa Jules (Momma’s girl), Sarah Alexander (Sarah Bear); Makalie Peters; and Amanda Peters, and son James McIntyre. Brothers Darrell Point, Dominic Point, Flavian Point, and sisters Andrea Point and Deanna Point.

A memorial service to celebrate Verna’s life will be held on December 28^th at Moles Farewell Tributes, 2039 Main Street, Ferndale, followed by a service at Wexliem Community Building. A second service will be on Friday, December 29^th at Wexliem to Lummi Nation Cemetery.
