Obituary

Travis left us far too soon at the young age of 31.
He was born in Seattle and lived almost his entire life in Whatcom County.Travis attended Custer Elementary, Assumption and Ferndale High School.

This week we lost our beautiful son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle and friend. He was the kindest, most generous and funniest soul God ever created. He loved to ride motorcycles, snowboard, shoot and basically do anything that offered him a challenge.

Travis is survived by his mother and father Cleo and Maria Callen (Custer), brothers Jesse Callen and wife Mandy and his dearly loved niece Bailey Mae (Phoenix), and Thomas Callen and girlfriend Charity (Bellingham). He is survived also by Uncle Chuck (Mary) Callen, Aunt Hooty (Lee) Holmes, Aunt Kay Callen, Uncle Larry (Jane) Treleven, Aunt Cathie (Dink) Dinkins, Auntie Patty (Steve) Schumm, Auntie Bernie (Dick) Howell, Uncle Alfie (Carolyn) Treleven, Aunt Cece (Randy) Dey, Uncle Tom (Marycarol) Treleven, Auntie Therese (Roger) Koelmeyer, Auntie Margie (John) Murphy, and Auntie Annie (Mike) Weber).

He is pre-deceased by his grandparents Eugene and Mildred Callen and Alfred H (Bob) and Bernadette Treleven and by his Uncle Uda Callen.

If you have someone close to you hold onto them real tight because you never know from one day to the next if they are going to be there. We Love you Travis and will miss you forever.

  1. We are truly sorry to hear that Travis left us..far too soon. Our thoughts and prayers are sent to you for healing and understanding. He was a good kid, always had a smile on his face. He will be missed by many…with his kind heart and great smile he was needed elsewhere..

  2. I remember Travis as one of my sweetest students In 3rd and 4th grade at Custer Elementary School. He was bright and humorous with a smile that could melt your heart. The pain of losing his light in this world can be partially lessened by the knowledge that he is in a beautiful, loving place now. May you feel the love he sends to you from that place every day until you are with him again. Maria, I still have and treasure the book you and Travis gave me one year. It’s called Simple Truths, and it has inspired me for many years. I hope you know what a gift Travis has been to every life with which he came in contact. Many, many blessings to you all …

  3. My heart goes out to you as you struggle through your loss. DeeAnn Stafford (formerly Richstein)
