Obituary
Tom “Xwomiksten” Edwards, Jr.
Tom Edwards Jr. Xwomiksten, age 50, of Bellingham, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013. Tom was a US Ambassador representing the Lummi Nation to many countries in South America.
Farewell Tribute Information
A prayer service will be held Thursday, January 24, at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be Friday, January 25, 10:00 AM. Both services will be at the Wexliem Community Building.

My deepest sympathy to Tom’s family and friends. While death is a common occurrence in our lives, you may wonder why it is so difficult. Ecclesiastes 3:11 says in part that ” time indefinite was put into our hearts”, that was God’s original purpose for us and that purpose will still be fulfilled in the not too distant future when we can enjoy a life without pain and sorrow as brought out in revelation 21:4 where it says “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away”. I hope these verses give you hope and comfort for the future. I am truly sorry for your loss.
