Timothy Edwin Jacobson passed away on October 23, one month after his beloved wife, Robin, in Bellingham. Born on March 26, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan, Tim also lived with his family in Des Plaines, Illinois, Cedarhome, Washington just outside of the Stanwood area. Later, he lived in Depauville, NY. Then, the family moved to Ferndale, where he met Robin, when they were 12 years old. They were married over 60 years.

Tim was an avid sports fan, but an even better athlete. He enjoyed playing baseball, basketball, and football throughout his life. However, his cherished years were while he attended Ferndale High School from 1960-64.

Tim and Robin married on October 9, 1963. They had two daughters, Lori and Wendi. Caring and protecting Tim’s three girls was very important to him. Raising his family to follow Jesus was his ultimate goal. In fact, Tim was always encouraging his family and friends to seek after Jesus, and put their trust in Him. He loved planning vacations, pouring over maps and travel guides as he dreamed of traveling to new places. Friends and family time was an important part of Tim’s life. Tim also was involved in Calvary Temple in Bellingham for many years. As a Royal Ranger commander, a member of the church board, and being part of dramatic presentations, Tim was an influential part of the faith community. Tim began working at Georgia Pacific at 18 years old. He retired 35 years later.

Tim lived with his wife Robin in Bellingham until 2002, when they returned to Ferndale where their story began.

Tim is survived by his daughters Lori (Loren) Schiewek, Wendi (Glenn) Wong, grandchildren Danielle (Ryan) Martin, Nathan (Breanne) Schiewek, Zack Schiewek, Emma Wong, and Malia Wong, along with four great-grandchildren.

We miss him so much.

A Celebration of Life in remembrance of both Tim and Robin will be held December 7 at 1:00 pm at Bellingham Covenant Church.
