Theodore "Ted" Parker

December 17, 1953 - June 04, 2021

Theodore “Ted” Parker passed away peacefully on June 4, 2021 with his family by his side after a 12-year battle with cancer. He was courageous, fought valiantly and always kept a positive attitude.  Anyone who knew Ted would remark on what a fighter he was.

He was born in Bellingham to David and Beverly Parker and was raised on the family dairy farm in Lynden, where he would later farm with his dad. He had a great love of farming.  The farm was sold in 2005 and he began working for his twin brother at Tim’s diesel repair shop in Auburn.  He had a very special bond with his twin brother.

He loved sports, fishing and working in the yard. And he loved metal fabricating and built a lot of equipment for the farm. He was famous for his chocolate chip cookies.

Ted married Julie Barrett in 1974 and they had two sons Kristopher Parker and Jason Parker.  He adored his family, especially his grandson Harrison.  Ted was preceded in death by his son Jason and sister Necia Littlefield.  He is survived by his wife Julie, son Kris (Jennifer) Parker, grandson Harrison, brothers Mike, Tim, and Jerry Parker, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ted’s strong faith helped him through many difficult days and we are comforted that he is out of pain and at peace right beside Jason.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

  1. Julie,
This is your cousin Jonalyn ( Jon). I was sorry to read this morning that your husband recently died. My
thoughts are with you and your family. I returned to my family’s farm in Deming after I retired. I have wonderful memories of you visiting with your Grandmother in the summer.

Please consider a return visit. It would be lovely to see you again.. May you find comfort in sweet memories.
