Obituary

Terri Lynn Rosario was born in Port Angeles April 25, 1958. She was the daughter of Peter Rosario and Rita (Balch) Rosario. She is preceded by her siblings Charles Rosario, Maria Rosario, and Pete Rosario. She is survived by her only son Isaac Jefferson Sr. and his wife Antonia (Lawrence) Jefferson. Two grandsons: Isaac Jefferson Jr. and Lawrence Jefferson. She is also survived by her siblings: Patty Rosario, Darrell Rosario, James Rosario, and her youngest sister Mary Beth Galicia. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who all considered her to be their second mom. She comes from a very proud Lummi, Tsimshian, Filipino family.

Auntie Terri had way too many stories to count. She always made a point of checking in on people at their homes. She always greeted people in a happy go lucky way, by saying “heeeeeey” or “just calling to say boo!” She’s called grasshopper because she’s hopping around all over the place. Her uncle John also named her China Doll because she was always looking so pretty and dressed up all the time. She was always known for her butterflies and everything had to be purple. She had the most beautiful smile and a contagious laugh. It was a belly laugh and we all inherited it. She is also known as teriyaki (aunty patti says teriyucky). She loved her Filipino food especially her sisters Al’s adobo- and her soy sauce. Dia said she hated boxed rice and asked “what kind of filipino are you?” “You aint got no uncle named ben!”

In her younger years, she was a community health representative and she often cooked for elders at the old tribal Center. Charlie Sanchez always called CHR crazy horseback riders and he considered her flip-flops Filipino motorcycle boots. These are just a few of the crazy stories the really good ones aren’t in here. Also in her younger years she was a fisherwoman, a true Lummi fisherwoman. Her and her sister Patty. They were badass Fisher women and of course, her CB radio handle was grasshopper. They fished on the Morning Star with Merle (moo) at Lummi Bay, Point Roberts and Cherry Point.

She always had one of her nieces by her side and Mya remembers watching Bad Grandpa with her. She was that kind of aunty. You got away with stuff. She loved all her brothers and sisters kids as if they were her own so really she didn’t have just one son she had many sons and many daughters.

Auntie Terri was a true animal lover. she’s always known to have had pets. she once had a thick pitbull named Pumba. Aunty patti remembers Terri naming HER cat no balls. The cats name was snowball. Her most recent pet was a small cat named baby.

Maria says she’ll always be forever young, she is a beautiful child at heart. She always let her siblings know that SHE was the baby! Her four older brothers and her nephews were all her protectors.

Uncle Chuck always called the three sisters “the West End” girls. The Rosario girl song was always witchy woman and they would always get up and dance. Anytime Hotel California came on they would put their arms around each other and sing the whole song.

Terri would always brag about her son and her grandsons. She was a proud mother and a proud grandmother. She was so excited to find out that she was going to be a grandma again after 18 years! She was the coolest mom!

Auntie Terri always has been and always will be so beautiful, kind and and selfless to everyone who knew her.

A prayer service will be held on Monday, February 18, at 6:00pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 19, at 10:00am. Both services will be held at Wexliem Community Building.
