Obituary

Terri Jane Woulf, age 53, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012 in Los Angeles, CA. Terri was born October 14, 1958 to Clayton and Shirley (Hershey) Woulf in Bellingham, WA. She grew up with her siblings on the family farm on Dewey Road.
Terri graduated from Bellingham High School and moved to southern California to pursue a Christian singing ministry with the Dove Sounds. She remained in California, where she met her life partner and soul mate of 20 years, Bruce Berg. Terri received both a Bachelors and Masters degree in History from U of CA Northridge. Terri loved singing, playing the guitar, reading, shopping for bargains at the outlet malls, sharing heartfelt conversations and time with a multitude of friends and family, and her special dog Tippy. Terri juggled waitressing and taking college classes for much of her adult life and still found time to share her sweet, kind spirit with those around her.
Terri was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Shirley Woulf.
Terri is survived by her partner Bruce Berg; 5 brothers and sisters, Robert Stillwell of Colorado, Dale Woulf of South Dakota, Peggy (Steve) Ragan of Florida, Judy Osborn and Becky (Chris) Stockmar of Bellingham; 8 nephews (Dan, Jeff, Gary, Tim, Todd, Baker, Brecken, Brooks) and 5 nieces (Andrea, Shelly, Jennell, Molly, Tara); and a myriad of aunts, uncles, cousins and relatives that she lovingly kept close to her heart.

  1. God brought you into so many lives to shine your beautiful light through all of your gifts. I have missed our talks, but I know you are no longer suffering from your health issues. I hope to talk to you again someday in heaven. I am sure those family members who went before you welcomed you with open arms. Hope you are playing the guitar and singing there as well. You sent me a special gift a couple years ago. A book entitled, Do You Timber When…I saw that book recently and gave you a call. Bruce explained what happened. Its silent here. I feel heaviness and pain. Thank you for being my friend.

    Dear friends and family,
I was shocked to hear of Terri’s passing. She was a wonderfully kind and talented person. I will always remember her playing her guitar for everyone and the joy she brought with her music. I am so sad at her passing, she was too young, she will be missed.

God Bless you Terri! I am going to miss you sweetie. You were a wonderful friend and we had so many great online memories. Strength and prayers for Bruce and your family. <3

  4. Terri was our favorite waitress at Junior’s and for over then 15+ years we always asked to be seated in her section so we could catch up with each other. She always had a smile, a kind word and was a total pro at her job. It won’t be the same without her.
Our hearts and prayers are with Bruce and Terri’s family– She talked about you all often with such love.

We will always remember Terri and keep her in our hearts. We’re so sorry to lose her at such a young age. She was one of the kindness people we’ve ever met.

    xoxo Patti and Meyer

  5. Dear Becky & Family—Yesterday we learned that Junior’s Deli in Westwood is closing after 53 years in business, so we drove out to have one last pastrami sandwich & to say hello to Terri. What a shock when I asked the hostess if Terri was working–she told me she passed away 3 months ago. I am so very very sorry. One waiter said she went to the hospital & died there-that’s all I know. Please accept my condolences. She was a good friend for a long time & I will miss her.
