Obituary

Shirley was born in Seattle, WA to Rex and Florence Rand on June 7, 1935. Shortly after graduating high school, she was married to the love of her life, Charles Kermen.

She and Charles loved to travel. They spent many years as snowbirds with the Holiday Rambler RV Club, the Sea to Ski Travel Club, and enjoyed many extensive motor coach tours with Christy’s Tours and Travel where Charlie and Shirley worked part time and enjoyed a large family of travel friends. In the late 1980’s, winters were spent at Country Roads RV Park, AZ and in the 1990’s, winters were enjoyed in Yuma, AZ. They always spent spring, summer, and fall at their home in Bellingham, enjoying the Pacific Northwest. Shirley also enjoyed her time at the slot machines.

Charles preceded her in death in 2017.

Survivors include her sisters, Judy Crudele and Ruth Davidson; nephews, Ray Pinney and Richard Kermen; nieces, Sandra Burton and Peggy McLenithan; and numerous other extended family.

She will be laid to rest at Greenacres Memorial Park next to her beloved Charlie. At her request, no services will be held.
