Obituary
Sheereen ‘Sherrie’ Sadighi, age 52, passed away Sunday morning, December 18. She died in a tragic accident on a snow and ice slickened stretch of HWY 20 in Skagit County while she was driving to the job she loved as manager of the Haggen store in Oak Harbor, WA. She is survived by her father, Bahram Sadighi, her brother Jeff Sadighi, her nephew Jeffrey Sadighi, her partner Tammy Williamson, her daughter Liz VanderPloeg (Marcus), son Steven ‘aka’ Mitch Williamson, son Rick Williamson (Cassie), and granddaughter Everlee. Sherrie graduated from Sehome HS, and WWU. She worked her way through school at Meridian Safeway. She loved her family, friends, animals, customers, and her staff at the store where she worked for over 15 years in Oak Harbor. She will be memorialized at Bay View Cemetery in Bellingham, Wednesday at 11:00 AM in a private service with her family. A celebration of her life is planned for after Christmas; details to be shared at a later date.
