Sharon Dee (Eggen) White, age 58, passed away in the early hours of Sunday July 8, 2018 at Whatcom Hospice House in Bellingham, Washington. Sharon was born on March 21, 1960, the seventh child and third daughter of Arvid and Sylvia (Howem) Eggen. She was the older of a set of twins, who with their births completed the family. Her family lived in Lawrence, WA and Sharon attended Mt. Baker schools, graduating from Mt. Baker High School. She was active in choir, band, and church. Sharon moved back to Bellingham and her daughter was born there. Sharon held a variety of jobs including one of her favorites at the Holmquist Hazelnut Farm. Her last job was at Little Caesar’s Pizza where she worked as a manager for several years.

Sharon loved gardening, sewing, reading, and watching movies. She had a patio garden and a cat at every place she lived. She was very social and greatly enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She was always one of the first to offer to help in any way and embodied a warm and caring attitude.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers Terry Dean, Douglas Norman, and Terry Wayne. She is survived by her daughter Amanda Dyan White, brother Richard Eggen, sisters Sally Eggen and Susan (David) Williams, and her twin sister Sheila (Ray) Gassman, all of Whatcom County. 1. Oh Eggan family it’s hard to believe so sorry with prayers for you as you go through this time

  2. Some of my best memories of going to church when I was little with Grandma Margrete Richards was turning around and having Sheila and Sharon make faces at me and then I would be the one to get in trouble.
As an adult, when I got to see Sharon and Sheila at gatherings both still made me laugh and smile.

I met Sharon’s daughter at one occasion and could instantly tell she had the same smile and laughter as her mom.

I always appreciated the fact no matter how many years had gone by, and even though I was now a “grown-up” Sharon would still crack me up within seconds of giving her a great big hug.

I hope all of your memories are filled with laughter, joy and smiles because that is how I will always remember Sharon.

  3. My deepest sympathies to your family. I am very sorry to hear this sad news.

I met Sharon about 16 years ago at Little Caesars. We never saw eye to eye. She was stubborn. So was I. Our strong willed personalities clashed, but that is just how it worked. That’s what made it so fun to work with her. I would complain about having to listening to Kafe 104.1 in the mornings all the time, but would be the first one at the phones when they did the Chocolate Connection. We would play little tricks on each other almost everyday. I’ll never forget you pointing and laughing until tears when I came out of the walk-in covered head to toe in pizza sauce.
It wasn’t until years had gone by and a bond was established, that we realized we are related though marriage. The pranks ended and grew into laughs at family gatherings. Thank you, for every second of it. You will be greatly missed.

  5. To Susan and all of your Family,
We are so very sorry for the loss of your sister. We don’t have any words that could possibly make anything better.

We just want you to know that you are in our thoughts with love.

    Keri and Ken.
