Obituary

Scott Raymond Carmichael passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2013. He was 59, born September 20, 1953 in Riverside, CA to Robert and Patricia (Tayler) Carmichael.

He was a young 59 years of age when he passed, but lived a life full of memories which often made for stories that brought smiles and laughter to so many faces.

Scott made these memories with his creativity, sense of humor, and love of life. He enjoyed playing golf and poker and was an extremely gifted guitar player. He was also quite the explorer who never hesitated to jump in the car or on his Harley to discover someplace new.

Scott was one of a kind. So simply genuine which easily made him friends anywhere life took him. He was an incredible father, family member, and friend. Many love him, many cherish him, and all will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert Carmichael. Scott is survived by his mother Patricia Poapst; daughter Sara Rose; sisters, Terri Carmichael, Tamara Carmichael, Patty Kunsman; brothers, Patrick Carmichael, Scott Poapst, Tom Poapst, and Kevin Carmichael.

A funeral mass will be held Monday, April 15, at 10:30 AM, at Church of the Assumption.

    Dad,
Tomorrow will be the hardest day of my life. Living life day to day you never think that anything like this could ever happen but when it does it splits the whole foundation you stand on and all of a sudden you have no idea what to do next. You were always there with a positive spin to help my worries/frustrations and I still hear you in my head and heart but I am so mad that I can’t sit and talk with you anymore and I can’t hear you crack a joke to make me laugh. It’s not fair and I miss you more than anything, I need your help to guide me through this. Thank you for choosing to be my Dad, I love you – always and forever.

    – Your Daughter
