Obituary

Sandra was born to Robert and Monica Sutherland at Glockner Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO where she resided until moving to Washington State in December 2019.

She was preceded in death by both her parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, her only aunt Pat and brothers, Deiter and James, and her sister Karen. She is survived by her youngest brother Bobby. She is also survived by her loving husband, best friend and the love of her life, Richard Sr.; her beloved children, Kim (Scott) Harsh of OR., Charles (Colleen) Fidler of WA., Christina (Eric) Davis of NJ. Richard Jr. (Sandy Jr.) Snider of CO., Sandy (Kyle) Martinson of WA. Robert (Chelsea) Burton of CO. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren who hold a special place in her heart. And many nieces and nephews across the States. She joined the workforce in 1982. She spent seven years with King Soopers., She spent most of her working career in Optometry (3 years) and Ophthalmology (23 years) as a certified technician and surgical assistant with Colorado Eye Associates, Evans Army Community Hospital and spending her last four years with the VA Optometry Clinic, which she referred to as Cushy Job. Until her retirement in 2013. She started a Red Hat group known as the Hot and Spicy Ladies. In March of 2004, she was their queen until moving to Washington in 2019. She loves spending time with her family, sewing, crafting, and had a small embroidery business on Etsy. Sandra has requested only colors to be worn at her Celebration of Life? Absolutely no black. This is the celebration of life.

The celebration of life will take place at Greenacres Memorial Park, 5700 Northwest Drive, Ferndale, WA, on Wednesday, July 10, at 10 am.
