Obituary

Sandra Kay Grant, age 78, passed away in Bellingham on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. She was born on December 13, 1946, to Harold and Elsie Zwicker.

Sandy graduated from Ferndale High School in 1964. She worked for years as a hairdresser and Brown’s Beauty Supply. She married Lyall Grant on December 4, 1976. Sandy and Lyall enjoyed game nights with friends and spending time with both of their families. After Lyall passed away in 1987, Sandy enjoyed traveling to places near and far, including Arizona, Spain and Germany. She attended church and was well known at craft sales for her embroidered dishcloths.

Sandy is preceded in death by her husband Lyall, her parents and brothers, Benny Zwicker, Ron Zwicker and Melvin Zwicker. She is survived by her sister Carol Pollock (husband Don), her nieces and nephews and many loving relatives and special friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15th at Moles – Greenacres Funeral Home, 5700 Northwest Drive, Ferndale WA, followed by a reception. Please share memories with the family by clicking on the “Guestbook” tab to the left of this obituary.
