Rosemary was born to Boyd and Ruth (Munkres) Davie on September 11, 1927 in Bellingham, Washington. She had many jobs over the years. When she was a teenager she worked for the Draper Valley hatchery. Later she worked on the family farm and at the cannery in Ferndale. Rosemary loved to cook and bake for her family and her community. She was especially known for her lefsa (a Norwegian dessert), pies and specialty cakes. She loved making wedding cakes for happy couples. Her favorite hobbies were gardening, making crafts and playing baseball. With a quick drive past their house, it was evident Rosemary had a green thumb and loved flowers. Her husband Earl was a school teacher and she loved to teach the children in his room crafts. Rosemary was active in her church. She and Earl were founding members of the Ferndale Seventh-day Adventist Church and she served as a deaconess. She had a big heart and loved children. She often welcomed her children’s and grandchildren’s friends into her family.

Some of my earliest memories are of Mrs. Kobberstad. She was hands down, the best bus driver. She was a kind, grandma type, but could be the voice of reason quickly. Rest In Peace!! Blessings to the family as you navigate your loss ❤

  2. How much our mothers mean to us forever. She was one of the mothers of the church all the time I was growing up and then a friend. So many good memories. Praying for all of you.
