Obituary

We remember Rosemary Alice Esser (Bruns) of Lynden Washington who sadly left us on January 25, 2025, after her short battle with Lewy Body Dementia. She was 82.

Rosemary was Born October 9th, 1942, to her proud parents Oliver & Margaret Bruns in Bellingham Washington and grew up on a farm in Everson Washington.

She and her Husband Dennis adopted and raised two children, Martin Todd Esser (57) and Brenda Kate Esser (56) in the town of Lake Oswego Oregon. Rosemary was married for 21 years to Dennis Esser.

She was a devoted sibling to her three surviving sisters, Linda Gaines (Puyallup WA), Judith Jensen (Custer WA) and Elizabeth Brown (Ferndale WA).

She leaves behind 2 grandchildren Wesley & Cindy along with nieces, Jeanette, Jolene, Jerilyn, Gina, Claudia and Megan and a nephew Eric.

Rosemary was full of wisdom, enjoyed reading & writing, home decorating and had the quest for collecting antique treasures. Her thirst for knowledge and factual data was something she really enjoyed.

Rosemary was a graduate of Nooksack Valley H.S. and then went on to attend Washington State University where she received her BA in Education.

Rosemary was resilient, had the gift of love & laughter and she touched the lives of all who knew her.
