Aleda Rose Klokkevold Branson
Rose Klokkevold, age 68 of Lake Stevens, Washington passed away peacefully in her sleep the night of December 7th 2012.
Rose was born to George and Ruth (Metcalf) Furman in Seattle January 23, 1944. Rose grew up in Machias and attended Snohomish schools graduating from Snohomish high school in 1962.
Later that same year she married her high school sweetheart, Alfred Klokkevold and they had three children: Sheila, Karl, and Trina. Rose later had three grandchildren whom she loved dearly: Nicholas, Kolton, and Brayden.
Rose was a very talented and creative woman. She was accomplished at gardening, sewing, upholstery, ceramics, and floral arranging. Rose’s favorite hobbies were yard sales, thrift stores and collecting. She loved the thrill of the hunt and had many treasured collections! She also enjoyed going to bingo often with her friends.
Rose spent most of her working years in the food and beverage industry employed as a hostess, waitress, cocktail server, and bartender. This occupation suited her gregarious and fun-loving personality very nicely. Everyone who met Rose loved her!
Rose was preceded in death by her parents George and Ruth, sisters Mary and Sara, and the father of her children Alfred Klokkevold. Rose leaves behind many loved ones: her kids, Sheila (Matt), Karl (Karen), and Katrina Klokkevold; her grandchildren: Nicholas, Kolton, and Brayden Baker; her sisters: Annie, Orpha, Jo, Grace, and Gloria; and many nieces and nephews.
All who knew Rose are invited to gather for a memorial service to celebrate her life. Please join us Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Forest Glade Community Church, 19510 South Carpenter Road, Snohomish, WA 98290. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Michael J.
