Obituary
Ronald Matteson was born Feb. 18, 1921 in Grand Forks, ND to parents Maurice and Lucia Matteson. Ron passed away in Bellingham, WA on Oct. 23, 2015. Ron was predeceased by his wife Doris Matteson and his daughter Sandra Gerber in 2013. Ron and Doris lived and worked on the family farm near Gilby/Inkster, ND for many years before moving to Grand Forks to build and run a small business. In 1989 they retired and moved to Bellingham, WA to enjoy traveling and living in their condo at Cordata Village. Ron is survived by daughter Gayle Steinke (Don), son-in-law Steve Gerber and four grandchildren: Kirsten Kraushaar (Brad), Lane Geber (Jen), Tara Steinke, Matthew Steinke and five great-granddaughters: Zoe, Mycah, Devi, Lexi and Mya. Papa will be forever remembered in our hearts. Arrangements by Moles Farewell Tributes – Greenacres, Ferndale, WA. Interment at Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND. To The Family, I want to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. I also want to share the comfort of John 5:28,29 where we are promised that those who have fallen asleep in death have the hope of receiving a “resurrection” back to life. Life on an earth restored to a beautiful paradise. Psalms 37:11 says, “The meek ones themselves will possess the earth, and they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.” While we await that wonderful time please find comfort in these promises. www.JW.org
