Roger Cook, age 74, passed away peacefully at home on June 30th, 2016. He was born on March 6th, 1942 in Tacoma Park, Maryland to Darrell & Larue Cook.
Roger enjoyed over 26 years golfing professionally with the PGA, and was a tremendous artist, carpenter, husband, father, and friend. Roger and his wife Kathy (King) Cook, married 26 years ago on May 25th, 1991 at Rodarco Golf Course in Blaine, Washington.
He retired from the Navy as a Lieutenant Commander after more than 25 years of service. He was a member of the Elks Club for several years after the Navy. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of New Mexico. He also attended postgraduate school with the Navy in Monterey, California.
A sports fan all around, he supported his favorite teams such as the Mariners & the Seahawks. He is survived by his wife Kathy Cook, his daughters Stephani Woods, Traci Cook, his son Alan Cook, and his step daughter Lisa Enores, his brothers Brent Cook and Brian (Janelle) Cook. He will also be missed by his nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and his niece & nephew.
Services to celebrate his life and achievements will be held at 2pm, Saturday July 9th, at Moles Farewell Tributes Greenacres. Memorial donations can be made in his honor to the Junior Golf Association at www.wjga.net
