Obituary

Bob Fuller, 92, of Schenectady, New York, quietly passed away on April 12, 2018. Bob spent his final years with his daughter, Bethany Fuller and her husband Frank Mitchell in Bellingham, Washington.

Bob grew up in the tiny town of Downsville, New York, joining the US Navy near the end of World War II. He always acknowledged his good fortune as a radioman on a “one-stack destroyer” that never quite caught up with any direct action. He was an electrician for 30 years at General Electric in Schenectady where he met and married Dorothy (Dixon) Young of Cape Cod.

Bob was preceded in death by both Dorothy Fuller and their eldest son, Donald Young (Linda Gebhardt) and Helen Ferraro, his longtime companion. He is survived by his son, Thomas Young (Judy Longo) his daughters, Bethany Fuller (Frank Mitchell) and Meredith Fuller (John Boutot), 6 grandchildren and his “adoptive” family of Anthony and Joan (Ferraro) Viscusi of Scotia NY. In younger days Bob loved hunting in the Catskills and fishing on the river, earning the familial nickname “Mohawk Bob”.

Goodnight, dear heart, goodnight.
