Bob will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all. He requested no flowers or service, but that any memorial contributions be made to cancer research. Bob is survived by 1 brother, 2 sisters, nephews, and cousins.
Bob was in the Civil Air Patrol during his High School years, later joining the Air Force (USAF/SAC 55th AEMS) and serving in the Cold War. After leaving the Air Force, he worked for Boeing. He left Boeing, and for 12+ years he built custom devices at the University of Washington. His nephew was the first patient to undergo surgery with a monitoring device he designed. In 1978 he set out on his own selling his first product, a specialized transformer to hundreds of broadcast stations. His Audisar products are used in Lucas films, THX commercial theater systems, in the trams at Universal Studios, at radio and TV stations, and in the US Senate. He enjoyed building home theaters, custom sound systems, producing transformers, and other products for industrial customers. He also invented a one-of-a-kind stereo pre-amplifier using vacuum tubes, and improved FM antennas. Electronics and sound system designing was his passion. Inurned in Bellingham, Wash. at Bayview Cemetery.
