Obituary

Richard Allen Neil, age 56, passed away Friday, January 17, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family and friends after a valiant and courageous battle with cancer. A lifelong resident, he worked for the Laborers’ Union Local 292 doing various jobs. But his most memorable was working at SafWay, where he gained many of his most cherished and lasting friendships amongst co-workers and associates that both respected and loved him in return. Rich enjoyed golfing and bowling with his sons, friends, and family. Rich also loved to spend time with his grandchildren playing and watching them smile.

Rich was preceded in death by his; father, Larry E. Neil, Sr.; step-father, Robert J. Paulette; brothers, Ronald Neil, Donald Neil; and step-sister Sandra Paulette.

He is survived by his loving wife Candy Neil;  son, Chris (Brandy) Neil and their children, Anthony and Landon; son, Justin (Natalie) Neil and their children, Alexis, Mackenzie, Kaelyn; son, Jason Neil and his child Blake; mother, Clara H. Paulette; sister, Tamara (Don) Farabee; brother, Larry (Angela) Neil; step-brother, Robert (Karen) Paulette; step-brother, Dave Paulette; step-sister, Margie (Brad) Backstrom.

A funeral service will be held Friday, January 24, at 12:30 PM , at Moles Farewell Tributes, 2465 Lakeway Drive in Bellingham.

  1. My dear sweet baby brother.. My deepest condolences to Candy and the family during this difficult time. May the Lord bless you during this time that you may find some comfort and peace knowing that he his no longer in pain. Rich fought the toughest battle of his life and did it with such tremendous strength and courage… I am going to miss you my brother but I know that one day we shall all be together again…. R.I.P. Richie…… I love you…
