Obituary

Regina Rae Wilson was born December 11th, 1977 to Sarah Wilson-Folsom and Jerald Folsom in Bellingham Washington. After losing her mom at only 8 months old Regina was adopted by her grandparents Reginald (Rusty) Wilson and Mabel Wilson. She became the youngest of seven children and the center of the family’s universe.

Gina was a proud member of the Lummi Nation and the Wei Wai Kai Nation. Over the years Gina lived in Bellingham, Mt. Vernon, Anacortes, and up and down Vancouver Island.

Her working history included working in a fish processing plant (ALPHA), in the medical field, billing, coding, lab tech and most recently at the CARE office where made people feel supported and loved while struggling with their addictions.

She was a foster parent to numerous children, as well as caring for many nieces and nephews.

Gina loved her culture. She spent summers spreading her love on the pow wow trail and winters in the smokehouse.

Gina was known for her big heart and funny sense of humor. To her everyone was either a family or a friend. She had the wonderful ability to make everybody comfortable and feel loved. She also loved to tease and joke around with everyone.

Gina is preceded in death by her mother Sarah Wilson-Folsom; momgrandma Mabel Wilson, dadgrandpa Rusty Wilson; brother Curtis; cousin Ray, and cousin Lacey

Regina is survived by her loving wife Elizabeth; father Jerald; brothers: Charles (Terri), Calvin, Tony (Sheila); sisters: Mable (Sean), Lisa (Morgan); numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and her fur-babies- Rufus Rae, Indie Mae, Simon, Cheebus, Loki, Lulu, and Oliver.

She was loved so much and will always be remembered by everyone who’s heart she touched. Rest easy Gina and rejoice with our loved ones that have gone before you.
