Obituary

Randy Craig Williams went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 9, 2018. He was born in South Gate, CA on November 14, 1956 to Mel and Jean Williams. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Norma Jean Williams, and his beloved wife, Claire Williams.

He was on staff with Young Life for four years in CA. Randy received his degree in marketing and business from Hayward State and a Masters in counseling (licensed marriage and family therapist) from Azusa Pacific. In 1988, he and Claire moved to Bellingham, WA from Fremont, CA and he was instrumental in starting Discovery Counseling Center and spent three decades there.

One of his favorite places to go was Sun River and Bend, OR with Claire on vacations. Words cannot express his LOVE for baseball, he was like a kid in a candy store two years ago when he got to tour the SF Giants spring training facility. He is well known in Bellingham for coaching Cal Ripkin and Babe Ruth leagues.

He is survived by his father, Mel Williams; sister, Vickie Mickelson; son, Ryan (Jessica) Williams; daughter, Kimberly (Justin) Goldston; granddaughter, Dillon Goldston; soon to be grandson, Warren Craig Goldston; aunt, Joan (Ed) Troy; cousins, Glen and Shelli Watson; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

You are all invited to join family and friends on Wednesday, April 25 at 3PM at Cornwall Church (4518 Northwest Dr, Bellingham, WA 98226).

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made to Whatcom Hospice House (2901 Squalicum Parkway Bellingham, WA 98225) or Sehome Baseball (2700 Bill McDonald Pkwy. Bellingham, WA 98225), or any Cancer organization of your choice.

I knew Randy way back in Olympic Treatment Days. He and Claire were both wonderful saints of God. Peace to the family. Dale Pollard

  2. We have some great, fun memories of Randy- we were freinds from Geneva Community Church. John loved how funny Randy could be, and he remembered his love of baseball. We pray for the family, knowing how you will all mourn the loss of all of his wonderful ways, and we pray that your memories will warm you, your friends and family comfort you, and your Jesus will hold you in loving arms.

  3. My condolences to all of Randy’s family. I well truely miss his kind heart and caring soul at the office, along with him being a wonderful boss and friend. My heart hurts for you all. May you find comfort in holding those special memories in your heart.
