Obituary

Patricia Boppel, age 94, passed away on April 6, 2018. Pat was born in Bellingham, WA, to John and Ann Moore. She joined the Navy (Waves) in 1943 and was stationed in San Diego, CA, during WWII where she met and married Jack Boppel who was also in the Navy. After the war, they moved to Dayton, OH, where they welcomed the birth of their daughter, Vivian Lee. The family moved to Los Angeles to attend college. After receiving their degrees, they worked for North American Aviation. After retiring, they moved back to the Bellingham area to be closer to their daughter and other family members. Pat loved cooking and was especially known for her Christmas cookies, gardening and reading. Pat was preceded in death by her parents John and Ann Moore; husband Jack; infant son; sister Betty Feathers and brother Jack Moore. She leaves her daughter Lee Williams and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Pat will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

At Pat’s request there will be no service. She will be interred in the Stillwater’s section at Greenacres Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society, Hospice House or your favorite charity.
