  1. I was a next-door neighbor of Pat and Jack on Welling Road in Bellingham for several years, and then we kept in touch after we moved out to Ferndale. They were such wonderful people, so kind and considerate, so patient with our young kids. Pat was an amazing cook and generously shared many delicious dishes with us. We always looked forward to a huge platter of Christmas cookies each year, as well. She was a strong, intelligent woman, with a very big heart. My prayers are with Lee and all of her family.

We in Bathtub Gin Party Band loved Pat and Jack. They were always supportive of us and the promotion of Dixieland jazz.. They often put on a big spread for us and visiting bands. Pat’s legendary cooking and entertaining skills were very appreciated. We will remember her fondly.

  3. Pat and Jack were friends of my mother’s when they all enjoyed Dixieland music in the San Fernando Valley in the 70s. Once when my mom was visiting me in Bellingham we happened to meet Pat on a walk near the Cancer Center in B’ham where she was a volunteer. Pat told us she was carrying cookies to the Center for a treat for everyone that day. The Boppels were such nice people and it makes my elderly mom sad now to lose so many of her friends. They had good times then. My mom’s sweetie who knew the Boppels was Bill ROberts. Thanks for the memories.

I’m sorry for your loss of your beloved mother. May the many hugs caring thoughts and prayers be a source of comfort. May you take comfort in Gods promise to wipe away your tears and swallow up death forever, Isaiah 25:8
