Obituary

Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Mr. Parviz Sami, whose warm eyes and infectious smile greeted many visitors to downtown Bellingham eateries such as Cicchittis and Taco del Mar for nearly 30 years, passed away peacefully at St Josephs Hospital at the age of 72, surrounded by family. He was characterized by a loving disposition, quiet optimism, and generous spirit among all those who crossed his path.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the ICU and MCU who compassionately and graciously cared for Parviz in his last days of life; and the Bahai communities of Bellingham and Mt. Baker for their constant assistance and support.

  1. I only met Mr. Sami a few times but I know he was an amazing, compassionate and intelligent man because I had the pleasure of working with two of his daughters: Mojgan and Moijda. And they had that same spirit… both were inspirational. Mr. Sami, among other things I’m sure, your true legacy are the daughters you raised and mentored.

  2. The brightness of his smile brightened every room he entered, his gentle manner touched every heart he across, his kindness calmed every soul and his friendship will always be cherished. I am glad to have known you, Parviz Jaan.
