Obituary

Pamela N Hillaire, age 64, of Lummi Nation, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. She was born on June 20, 1953 in Bellingham to Frank and Nettie(Bill) Hillaire. She attended WWU and Shoreline Community College. She worked at the Norathwest Indian College as Assistant Librarian and was was a program assistant at the Coast Salish Institute. Pamela loved to spend time with her friends and family during the holidays. She was on the holiday planning commmittee at the Northwest Indian College for several years. Pamela planned the annual Christmas parties, Thanksgiving dinners, the employee recognition picnic, and managed the logistics for the Halloween trick-or-treat for the local children. She also enjoyed annual trips driving to Reno with her parents. She is preceded in death by her parents and Uncle John Bill. She is survived by cousins, Geneva Lane, Angela Bell, Steven Bell and numerous other cousins; nieces and nephews; numerous friends; and cats Bootsie and Beastie Pamela will be missed by her family and friends. A prayer service will be held Sunday, December 10, at 6:00pm. A funeral mass will be Monday, December 11, at 10:00am.

    Pam was a very special person. She was always so kind. A sweet and gentle person. I loved her Facebook posts. Her purple hair. And that wonderful, wonderful laugh. You touched many people, Pam. I will miss you.
