Obituary

N.F. was preceded in death by his parents Norvell and Neva Jackson, his sister Mary Lucille Jackson and brother Robert Milton (Bobby) Jackson.

N.F. was born and raised in Rockport Texas. A small art and fishing community on the gulf. By all accounts, he had an idyllic life growing up.

After graduating from high school, he went on to earn a degree at North Texas State University. He then enlisted in the Navy and went on to earn the rank of Commander 05. During his time in the Navy, he earned his law degree at University of Texas Law School. He then practiced for a short time in Rockport before working for the family business in Newport News and Cartagena.

He moved to Bellingham WA in 1982 and began serving as the Superior Court Administrator, County Clerk and Court Commissioner.

After 23 years of service, he retired from the Navy. After 27 years, he retired from the courts.

In 2000, he met and fell in love with Eric Humphries. Never a day went by that they didn’t say “I love you”. Never a night went by that they didn’t hug before bed. On 11-12-13 they married and Eric changed his name to Jackson. When asked about their relationship N.F. quoted a song “sometime in my past or childhood, I must have done something good”.

N.F. is survived by his husband Eric Anthony Jackson, his brother John Porter Jackson (Debbie) and many nieces and nephews.
