Obituary
Nola was born in Bellingham, WA to Henry and Iva Noble on May 8, 1930. She went to school in the Mt. Baker area where she had lots of family and friends. Nola lived at Ankar Retirement Park for the last 26 years, a place she really loved.
Nola spent many years as a cook in various restaurants in Bellingham including Bunk’s Drive-In and The Alpine. She always had the greatest meals for her family, particularly on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Nola loved plants and flowers. She kept numerous indoor plants and lots of flowers adorned her patio during the summer. Nola also loved to decorate for all the holidays of the year, doing puzzles and embroidery. Traveling and camping all over the U.S. was something else she particularly enjoyed. The grandkids always got to go with Grandma and Grandpa Ray on their many travels.
She and her husband Ray had five children: Bonnie Finlayson, Leon Prather, Mel Prather, Mark Prather, and Jay Prather. She also had numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceeding her in death were husbands Ray Prather and Richard Monaghan, her father and mother, four brothers: Wayne, Eldon, Glenn and Harold Noble, and granddaughter Jan Prather.
Nola was laid to rest at Bayview Cemetery in Bellingham, Washington.
