Nicholas Atkinson

Nicholas Nick Atkinson, 49, of Renton, WA passed away in his home Saturday, June 22, 2013 do to complications of Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). He was born in Seattle, WA on July 8, 1963. Nicholas was preceded in death by his father Donald Atkinson. He is survived by his mother Mary and step-father Bruce; sister Kimberly; brothers William and Michael; half sister Christina; and two nieces and two nephews.
Nicholas will always be remembered for his talent with handicrafts. There is not a child or special friend that does not own a crocheted blanket, doll or toy made by Nicholas. Nicholas never ran out of smiles; he had one for everyone.
A graveside service will be Friday, July 12, at 1:00 PM at Greenacres Memorial Park 5700 Northwest Drive, Ferndale. A potluck will follow at the home of his mom and step-dad at 1498 Farm Dr., Ferndale. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the ALS Association in his name.
