Obituary

Nellie Lucille Warner
Nellie Lucille Murray was born April 7, 1914 near the blizzard swept hills of Lisbon, ND. She graduated valedictorian of her class at Washburn High and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at the age of 18. She went to visit her cousins Dwight and Hazel Blanchard in Miami, FL. There she met L. Raymond Jenkins and was married soon after. Nellie and Ray had 2 children, Gary and Sondra. The family moved to Salt Lake City, UT where Ray had found work. Nellie was active in many church activities including teaching flannel board Bible classes and hosting many missionaries. They lived in Salt Lake City until the children left for college.

In her latter days, she lived with her son in Illinois for 6 years, and during a visit to Bellingham to visit her daughter she fell and broke her hip. Nellie was unable to return to Illinois due to health problems. She had open heart surgery at 85, and spent the final days of her life at Highland Care Center under the loving supervision of some wonderful nurses and the faithful daily visits and care of her loving daughter and son-in-law Dick Perkins. Nellie outlived all her childhood friends but had many wonderful friends that visited her regularly while she was bedridden. She went to be with the Lord at 98.

Nellie is survived by Gary and Sondra and 5 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Please accept my sympathy to the loving Children, Family & Friends in the painful loss of your dearly loved Nellie. She lived a very long life and will be missed by those who knew & loved her. Hopefully you will be comforted by the following Bible Verses” Isaiah25:8 “HE WILL ACTUALLY SWALLOW UP DEATH FOREVER, AND THE SOVEREIGN LORD JEHOVAH WILL CERTAINLY WIPE THE TEARS FROM ALL FACES.”
