Obituary
Muriel passed away at Whatcom Hospice on Wednesday, November 4th at the age of Ninety-nine years. Born in Blaine to Charles and Laura (Valdesson) Roper, she lived her entire life in Whatcom County. Her mother died when she was very young and she was raised by her Grandmother and Grandfather Roper until her father re-married and she went to live with him and her step-mother Ella (Norman) Roper.
She married Marvin Larson in 1935 and they spent fifty-nine years together until his death in 1994.
Muriel was preceded in death by her parents; husband Marvin; step-brother William Roper and his wife Judy and their son Mike.
She is survived by her daughters Maralee Smith and her husband Douglas of Bellingham and Jean Wingron and her husband Richard of St. Louis, Missouri. Also surviving are 6 granddaughters, 10 great-grandchildren, 3 step great-grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews in Bellingham, Seattle area, Oregon, and California.
At her request there will be no services. She will be laid to rest at Enterprise Cemetery.

I am very sorry to hear of you loss and wish to share with you a scripture at John 5: 28, 29, which states in part, that “all in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out”, yes a resurrection to life. May it be that the “peace of God that excels all thought . . . guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus”.(Phil. 4:7) The Bible gives hope, a resurrection hope, for our love ones. John 5:28, 29 states that “all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out”. This is a sure hope, a real hope, that I too look forward.Please take care of yourselves, and each other. I Love you, but Jehovah loves you more.

I am sending my sincere sympathy to the entire Family due to the passing of Muriel L. Larson. Many times, as I passed by her home, I thought best wishes for her to be living a long and healthy life and apparently that was so.
