Obituary

Muriel Estelle (Wessman) Hanson was born at home in Dassel MN on April 17,1925 and died at home in Bothell Wa on August 19, 2016 of cancer at the age of 91. She is survived by her sister Audrey Lyons of Minneapolis and three children, Brenda Guthrie of Bothell Wa, Kent Hanson of Minneapolis MN and Pamela Goossen of Vancouver B.C, as well as five grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren whom she adored. She was predeceased by her husband Calvin B Hanson to whom she had been married for 66 years. Together, following graduation from Wheaton College they participated as partners on the mission field in Japan and the founding of Trinity Western University in Langley BC, as well ministries across the country and the world. Author of Honey and Salt, she was an accomplished writer. She was known for her quick wit, rhubarb pie, extraordinary organizational abilities, and fierce love for her children. She leaves behind a host of friends and family who were richer for having known and loved her. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Western University.
