Obituary

Muriel Anna Weeks, our sweet beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend returned to our Lord and Savior on March 28, 2023 from natural death at the age of 94 years young.

Muriel was born in Ogden Utah to William and Hazel Goodell on September 29, 1928. She married Paul D. Weeks in Ogden Utah on August 1, 1946. They had five children; one daughter and four boys. The family moved from Great Falls Montana in 1965, to Lynden Washington.

Muriel is preceded in death by her mother and father, William and Hazel Goodell; husband, Paul D. Weeks; daughter, Bette Pearson; son in law, Steve Pearson; great granddaughter, Chrystal Hansen and her unborn baby; and five of her siblings. Following Paul’s death, she was briefly married to George Hadrath who passed from a sudden illness.

Muriel worked hard all of her life. She loved quilting, fishing, bowling and being a blessing to her family. She also loved making salsa and caramel corn and she donated blood on a regular basis for as long as she could.

She is survived by her four sons; Mark (Liz) Weeks, Luke (Brenda) Weeks, Matthew (Kathy) Weeks, John (Marilyn) Weeks, sister Cookie (Jerry) Gibson, brother Ted (Darlene) Amsler, fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and fifteen great great grandchildren.

The family would like to give their thanks and gratitude to the Lynden Police Department, Lynden Fire Department, PeaceHealth Saint Joseph Hospital staff and Christian Health Care Center staff.

Funeral services will be held at Greenacres Memorial Park in Ferndale Washington on Friday April 7th. Graveside service at 1:30pm with a memorial gathering in the chapel to follow.

A viewing will be held as well that morning before the services from 9am to 12pm at Greenacres Memorial Park in Ferndale
