Obituary

Michalina Wojcik Kiljan passed away on January 10, 2024 in Phoenix, Arizona. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Marian Kiljan, at Bayview Cemetery, Bellingham, Washington. Michalina was a resident of Whatcom County for 30 years.

Michalina was born in Poland on September 24, 1924, and was the fifth of seven children. During World War II, she was taken to Germany as forced labor. She was liberated at the end of the War and joined the English Army. She met her husband in England and together with their daughter emigrated to Chicago, Illinois in 1955. She was a loving, generous and selfless person, and those who knew her were truly blessed.

Michalina is survived by her daughter Anna, son-in-law Frank Swierkowski, and grandson Jason.
