Obituary

Michael J. Fox, age 47, passed away suddenly and peacefully in Ferndale on May 29, 2016. He was born in Barstow, California on July 1, 1968 to Dennis and Julie Fox and moved to Ferndale as a boy of 10 and attended Ferndale schools where he made many lifetime friends. He always thought of Ferndale as his home town. He graduated from Ferndale High School in 1985 having competed in many sports that were available and played in the band. He was an avid snow mobile rider and loved to work out and lift weights. He worked at Hydro Swirl, a family business, for many years.
Michael is survived by his ex-wife Kimberly (Grant) and their children, Gader and Tatum, his parents Dennis and Julie Fox, his brother David, sister-in-law Christina, niece Nichole, nephews Lee, Devin and Chester, and numerous other relatives. Michael was a caring loving person and a blessing to all who knew him.
All his friends and family are encouraged to attend and bid Michael farewell at a visitation on Monday, June 6th from 9-11:00am at Moles Ferndale (2039 Main St.), Graveside Service at 12:30 at Enterprise Cemetery, and Memorial Service and reception at 2:00pm at Cornerstone Church (5232 Olson Rd. Ferndale).

  1. RIP Mike, you will always be remembered as “the life of the party!” You always seemed to have a smile on your face when I saw you. You will be greatly missed in our hometown, lots of love to your family especially Kimmy and kids. RIP friend, until we meet again…

  3. I was so sad to hear the news. Here we are at the stage of our lives planning our 30th class reunions and he is gone. I got to reconnect with Mike after seeing him at another mutual friends funeral a few years ago. I am very sad to hear of his passing. My hearts go out to his parents and David and Christina, and Kim, and especially his kids. Such a tragic loss. I am so sorry. You are all in my thoughts. I am going to find some old pics of him and would love to pass them on to you. I will be in touch. Beth
