Resident of Ferndale, WA.

Merriel Marie Hawkins, age 89, of Ferndale passed away peacefully November 17, 2013 at her Ferndale “Louisa House” residence.

Following Bud’s retirement they traveled in Europe and motor homed extensively across the U.S. They also visited many area beaches and parks with their grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Marsie Sherwood for being her caregiver and friend, and the Louisa House staff. Merriel is preceded in death by her parents and husband Vernon. Please accept my heartfelt sympathies. Death is something that we never get use to. In fact, God’s word refer to it as a enemy. Yes the last enemy that God and Jesus will get rid of is death, because he love us and know the pain that death brings to famiies. I hope these few facts bring you and your family some strength and comfort during your difficult days ahead and time of need.
