Obituary

Meredith Lynn Abbott, “Grandma Honey”, passed away on April 2, 2016. She was born on August 16, 1931 in Bellingham, Washington to Al and Louise Hutchinson. Meredith married Vernon Abbott on March 21, 1950 and was happily married for 57 years and enjoyed raising 3 children. She loved being a grandmother and showering her grandchildren Jason, Rod, Reed, Jody, Kelly and Nick as well as her 18 great grandchildren with lots of love, she always had a hug and kiss for everyone. Meredith enjoyed painting, knitting, and being a beautician, she owned her own beauty shop for years. Meredith was preceded in death by her parents, husband Vernon, and brother Howard. She is survived by her daughter Sharon Stanley, son Guy Abbott (Margaret), daughter Carol Jansen, 6 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and sister Nancy Martin. Meredith was loved by many, with her sweet, kind, loving nature, she will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at Moles Greenacres (5700 Northwest Dr.) on April 22 at 2:30 pm, with reception to follow.
