Obituary

Melanie was born in Everett, WA, and a life-long resident of Whatcom County. Timi had a love for playing fastpitch and slowpitch softball. She was long-time member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed going every Sunday. Mom also had a passion for jail ministries which she helped start at Trinity.

Mom attended Whatcom Community College and graduated with an AAS Business Administration degree. She then moved onto Western Washington University and graduated with a Bachelors in Restorative Justice.

Mom was kind, caring, loving, sympathetic, smart, witty, and a bit sarcastic. We will remember her kindness and generosity and her ability to love someone when they couldn’t love themselves, and her beautiful hair.

She survived by daughter Dulcie (James) Keeler, her son Cole (Dawn) Wegley, granddaughters Gillian Roberts (Dean), Seaneen (Tyler) Roberts, Ephanie Wegley; grandsons Finn Wegley, Drake Wegley; great-granddaughter Renee Roberts-Solomon, great-grandson Cylis Mandeville, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Melanie is predeceased by father Henry Keeler Redlightning, her mother Kathleen Osborne, step-father Paul Osborne, sisters Celeste “Pinky” Alaniz, H. Camille “Poppy” Alaniz, Inez Dida Mae Redlightning, niece Denise “Muffy” “Niecey” Taylor and nephew Harvey Fox.

  2. I am so sorry; I just found this out a few minutes ago. I am in shock – Timi was so young and so special in all the things that she could do and the things she cared about. She was truly the most inspirational woman in my life; I learned much about being a loving, caring person from her. She was a woman who loved God with all her heart and she is now in his presence and full of joy. She made heaven a brighter place for sure. I am so sorry for your loss; I know she was the best mom and grandma and I am so thankful that I got to know her and was able to call her my friend.
