Obituary

Maybelle Henderson Moncrief died Christmas morning, 2016, at Orchard Park Assisted Living in Bellingham.
She was born January 10, 1921 in Beekman, WA to Thomas and Jean Henderson and graduated from Bellingham HS in 1939. Maybelle married Ralph W. Moncrief on July 25, 1942.
Due to Ralph’s military career, Maybelle and her family lived in many places; but she especially loved the time she and her family spent in Japan. She collected many Japanese souvenirs and kept in touch with the friends she met. Maybelle loved garage sales, antiquing, and was a voracious reader.
Survivors include two sons, Ralph T. (Linda) and Ross A. (Liz), four grandchildren: Steve, Heidi, Kayte, and Julie, and nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by nieces and nephew Karen, Cheri, Becky, and Rick. Preceding her in death is her husband Ralph, two sons, Rohn and Rehn, sister Margaret, brother-in-law Roy and nephew, Rob.
A family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
